POLICE IN BULGARIA'S BOURGAS UNCOVER HEROIN-PROCESSING FACILITY
Police in the coastal city of Bourgas uncovered a depot for the
processing of heroin, amphetamines and marijuana.
The facility was located in a residential building. Two men aged 28
and 31 were behind the scheme, an Interior Ministry press release said.
During the search police found weapons and equipment for the
processing of narcotic substances.
More than 10kg of drugs were found in the depot during the search.
Among the narcotic substances were 2.3 kg of amphetamines, nearly one
kg of heroin and 160 synthetic pills.
The market value of the drugs found can reach 800 000 leva.
The men behind the scheme were detained. Investigators said they
could not reveal information if any of the two belonged to a criminal group.
Experts will analyse the weapons in an attempt to find out if any of
them were used to commit unresolved crimes.
