NO ONE IS LISTENING

In "Another Take" on Jan. 28, James Gierach implies that U.S. troops
are in Afghanistan to win the drug war. Has he not heard of the
Taliban and other terrorist groups?

After reading the rest of his addled commentary about legalizing
illegal drugs, an image came to mind. It was of Tommy Chong's
mindless, drug addict character on "That '70s Show," conversing with
mindless Ozzie Osbourne. "Like, hey man, these drugs are, like,
g-g-good, man."

Jimmy, you say you've been campaigning to end the drug war since the
early '90s. Wake up! No one is listening to you, and no one cares.
