RAVES AND DRUGS

Ecstasy Users Don't Need Parties To Take Pills

All the hype lately about raves does one useful thing: Makes me laugh. The
local music scene - for that's all a rave truly is, a musical concert -
hasn't changed since I attended my first rave in 1992. The difference is
now the rave promoters have permits for their parties.

The drug use that goes on is no different than the drug use outside the
party. Kids who use Ecstasy in their day-to-day lives use it at the rave.
Kids who don't use Ecstasy on a daily basis, don't use it at the party.
It's that simple. I know, my friends are both kinds of kids.

Sure, a lot of kids use drugs for the first time at a rave, but do you
honestly think the reason they use is because of the existence of the rave?
If you believe that, then you're way too blinded by the lights.
