I don't quite understand how Roger Christie can call himself a
reverend (Letters, "Preacher loves 'ponics," March 8-14). He is
totally abusing his First Amendment religious rights.

First, I don't see anywhere in the book of Exodus, let alone the
entire Bible, where it says that cannabis was used as the anointing
oil. Furthermore, nowhere in the Bible have I read the words
"marijuana" or "cannabis." I just cannot believe that someone who is
supposed to be helping people with problems like drug addiction is
actually supporting and promoting this type of behavior.

Something must be terribly wrong if this man can just rewrite 4,000
years of history to suit his own personal tastes. I can only pray that
his eyes may be opened to see and that he may be able to take steps to
better himself and turn from his evil ways. "For the wages of sin is
death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord."-Romans 6:23.
