BROOKLYN: FORMER OFFICER TO PLEAD
A former police officer who is accused of being part of a robbery gang
plans to plead guilty today to several charges, including robbery and
conspiracy to commit murder, according to papers filed by the United States
attorney's office. The former patrolman, Jamil Jordan, 28, and his partner
at the 77th Precinct in Brooklyn, Anthony Trotman, held up drug dealers,
robbed jewelers, lied on the stand about their actions and plotted to kill
a detective, prosecutors have said. Mr. Trotman pleaded guilty in January
to robbery and conspiracy to commit murder.
