400 POUNDS OF 'POT' FOUND IN RIG ON I-40

A commercial vehicle inspection by police at an Interstate 40 weigh station
Thursday turned up nearly 400 pounds of marijuana.

Arkansas Highway Police said an inspection of a tractor-trailer rig at the
Lehi weigh station near West Memphis uncovered the marijuana in 12
cardboard boxes among a load of produce.

The driver of the truck -- Howard Robinson, 26, of Decatur, Ala. -- was
arrested on felony drug charges and suspected violations of motor-carrier
safety regulations, police said. Robinson is being held at the Crittenden
County jail.

Police said Robinson, a driver for Tough Luck Trucking of Oklahoma, was
heading to Oxnard, Calif., from South Plainfield, N.J. Arkansas Highway
Police have seized more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana during 2001.
