PUBLISHING 'RECIPE' FOR METH WAS IRRESPONSIBLE

Shame on the Journal Star for publishing the last paragraph of the March 14
article, "Pekinites charged in meth raids."

It certainly was not responsible reporting to mention that meth is easy to
make, and then to include a list of ingredients. I understand this
information is probably very easily accessed through the Internet; however,
to publish a (partial) recipe is like publishing a list of merchants who
will sell guns to anyone who has the money.

My philosophy is that too much information in the wrong hands is a
dangerous weapon.
