DRIVER WHO USED DRUGS SENTENCED IN SIX DEATHS
A former exotic dancer was sentenced in Las Vegas on Friday to 18 to 48
years in prison for having drugs in her system when her van ran off the
highway, killing six teenagers picking up litter.
Jessica Williams, 22, apologized to the families of the six youths killed
March 19, 2000.
Williams was acquitted in February of involuntary manslaughter but was
found guilty of driving with a prohibited substance in her blood.
Williams will be eligible for parole at age 39 because of credit for time
served. She had faced up to 120 years in prison.
