MARIJUANA IS MUCH SAFER THAN ALCOHOL
Who ever knew Virginia Tech had such a politically charged campus? It
is great that students are finally fighting for some justice.
Marijuana is a much safer drug than alcohol. This is evident. No one
has ever died from smoking or eating too much marijuana. Thousands of
people have died from drinking too much alcohol. This marijuana
legislation would be a great start to creating a safer campus here at
Virginia Tech. It is true that Lane Stadium might not hit that record
breaking decibel level. Fans at Cassell Coliseum may not yell quite as
loud. The fact is this legislation would not change who uses
marijuana. It would give students who choose to recreationally use
marijuana, instead of alcohol, the same treatment as people who drink
themselves stupid. Alcohol literally shuts down the brain while
marijuana stimulates it. This legislation does not force anyone to use
marijuana. If this legislation passes, the only negative effects I can
see is longer waits at food courts while potheads with the munchies
load up on their snacks.
