MAN CLAIMS COPS USED HIM IN DRUG BUST

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Police Force is investigating a complaint by a
former taxi driver who claims officers used his cab in a drug bust and put
his life in danger.

Former Saint John cab driver Dana Crisp claims that on July 18 three police
officers had him drive to a residence where he believes police officers
conducted a police raid.

Crisp claims he has since received threats and is fearful for his life and
would like some questions answered.

"Is it routine practice for police in this province to involve private
citizens in drug raids?" Crisp asked.

Sgt. Shane Hayward wouldn't comment on the complaint because it is under
investigation.
