NO LEGAL BASIS?
EDITOR: After reading your front page article, "High court doubtful of
medical pot law," I had to chuckle. It read: "The court's conservative
justices said they saw no legal basis for giving the drug to people who are
seriously ill." Duh! There is no legal basis, but there certainly is a
medical basis
Study after study (both scientific or otherwise) has drawn that conclusion.
Even the two-year scientific medical study commissioned by former drug czar
Barry McCafferty (much to his embarrassment) found there is no harm in such
a practice.
I used to argue with people who would say: "I don't vote, because my vote
doesn't count." But I seem to be running out of grounds for my arguments.
