LEGALIZE DRUGS

Drug use would almost seem to be a right of passage in today's youth. The
forbidden fruit will forever hold symbolic allure for its rebellious
quality. The more authority demonizes whatever drug de jour the more
certain youth are to want to give it a try.

A high-profile arrest will disrupt the meth supply for about a heartbeat in
Winnipeg. Turning private businessmen into agents of the state is just
another example of our eroding natural right to be free from state
intervention in our private lives. Requiring businessmen to report
suspicious sales to police belongs in totalitarian states.

Would it not make more sense to decriminalize drug-taking behavior?

Those are your children and your neighbour's children attending raves and
other social functions.

Canadians ought to be ashamed of themselves for subjecting our children to
adulterated drugs available on the black market that is certain to harm a
small percentage of foolhardy youths.
