NEED OVER WANTS

To use any drug is to intentionally produce an alternative reality.
Is it any wonder that drug use and experimentation start with kids?
Do parents wonder why their kids would want to alter their reality,
especially when they are aware of the dangers? It can't all be from
peer pressure. Could it be that their home life is less than OK?

I think when parents realize that their wants and their children's
wants are not the focal point of the family, and the children's needs
- -- time, attention and caring -- are, these kids will be less likely
to alter their reality with drugs. They will more likely embrace it
with love.
