NO JUSTICE
To the editor:
Alexis Bodkin, who authorities say repeatedly slammed on her brakes
causing a tractor-trailer to lose control and trigger a fatal accident,
got three years probation and community service.
Jessica Williams was found to have trace elements of drugs in her blood,
was not impaired per the witnesses at the scene, and accidentally fell
asleep at the wheel, causing an accident that killed six teen-agers. She
will serve at least 18 years in prison.
An intentional act is pardoned, while an accident -- though tragic -- is
so severely punished. Sorry, doesn't seem to be justice.
