THREE ON CHARGES OVER DRUG FACTORY

POLICE claim they have stopped up to 3kg of party drugs from reaching
Perth's streets after they raided a bikie-controlled suburban amphetamine
laboratory.

Three men were arrested and charged with manufacturing a prohibited drug
after officers broke down the door of a Crandon Street, Gosnells, house on
Tuesday night.

An operating amphetamine laboratory was found, where six litres of
chemicals were allegedly being converted into methylamphetamine.

Police claim the liquid could have produced 3kg, or about 3000 hits of the
drug.

Firefighters and an ambulance crew stood by as officers dismantled the
laboratory.

Anthony William Headley, 51, of Mt Lawley, and Jonathon Robert Nannup, 33,
of Mirrabooka, were both remanded in custody and will reappear in Perth
Magistrate's Court on May 7. Alko Johannes Bos, 34, of Gosnells, was
released on bail and will appear in Perth Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
