STATE LAW UNAFFECTED
THE U.S. Supreme Court medical marijuana case was heard on March 28. It
is important to realize that whatever the court's ruling turns out to
be, it cannot overturn state medical marijuana laws. The case does not
concern a state's constitutional right to allow patients to cultivate,
possess or use medical cannabis. Regardless of the court's findings,
California state law will continue to allow the use of medical cannabis.
Maybe all 50 states laws will allow medical cannabis before federal law
follows suit.
