SUPPORT POLICE OFFICERS

At this time there is a rallying cry to support our troops and this is good.

But how about support for our police department here in Brantford?

It seems to me that many people are quick to criticize but long on
saying "well done" to these dedicated men and women.

Case in point: the recent taking down of a drug house right across
from a school.

The police were doing their job and doing it well and safely. The
school had been told. The children were safe.

Incidentally, some of these men have families, too.

Why the hullabaloo? Do the police have to ask you for permission to
do their job? Must they write a note to the drug dealers that they
are going to be raided?

Give me a break!

It seems to me that they are damned if they do and dammed if they
don't. Support the police as they do their job.

Just perhaps the persons arrested have been stopped from getting
drugs to our kids.

My wife and I have a close relationship with one of the men on the
team and we support him and the whole team and the whole department.
