Bloody Hands
With the deaths of an innocent mother and child in Peru, the U.S. is
re-examining its drug interdiction policies.
Unfortunately, these are not the first innocent people to die, nor will
they be the last as the war on drugs continues without any end in sight.
The U.S. continues to use the same policies in this war that have been
unsuccessful for more than 30 years. This war is supported by most of those
in Congress. Our U.S. senators from Texas are staunch supporters of these
war policies. We can only hope that they will tire of washing the blood of
innocent victims from their hands and leave office or show enough courage
to try something new.
