ALCOHOL IS WORSE THAN MARIJUANA

To lawmakers: Alcohol is a drug that has caused more misery than all
the other drugs in the world combined.

The reason alcohol is not forbidden because lawmakers use it and like
it - and it's good for the economy. Never mind that it's probably
killed someone, somewhere, during the time spent typing these words.

Marijuana, on the other hand, is God-given, causes munchies, turns up
the senses and sometimes helps you get to know yourself a bit better
than you might otherwise.

All this it does and more, without hangover or headache. In the more
than 40 years that I've been aware of its existence, I've never seen
it cause any harm to anyone.

Don't you think there's enough fighting and arguing in this world?
There's a whole bunch of us folk that most sincerely wish that you'd
stop pickin' on us. Why don't you call off this war against your own
brothers and sisters and take a good look at yourselves?

It's not right that a sizable portion of the population is persecuted
for doing something that you do not personally approve of. Especially
when you don't really know what it is that you're against.

Do you have the slightest idea what it's like to a peaceful citizen
living under the threat of being arrested for doing something that
you believe to be right and good?

Please Mr. or Ms. Lawmaker, when your chance comes along, try to find
a little compassion. Ask yourself if you really know enough to pass
judgment. The soul you save just may be your own.
