CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BC MARIJUANA PARTY
To Brian Taylor, leader of the B.C. Marijuana party, fraternal greetings
from your federal cousins. Cheers for your election showing on Wednesday.
At the behest of the federal Marjiuana party, allow me this opportunity to
express my congratulations for having run a brilliant campaign.
Judging from media reports, your efforts and commitment these past few
weeks have advanced our cause in B.C. beyond measure. It is not without
interest and concern, however, that I note that the BCMP felt it necessary
to broaden its program beyond the B.C. party's original raison d'etre - the
removal of the criminal prohibition of marijuana.
I acknowledge my inability to fully appreciate whatever local factors led
to that decision, but with respect to our joint goal to end prohibition, my
colleagues and I at national headquarters fully support your endeavours.
For the record, and for so long as I have the privilege to serve as leader,
the federal Marijuana party remains committed to the singular issue which
gave it birth.
