POLITICAL ADS ON THE BIG SCREEN?

To Build Name Recognition, Rob Burpo Had To Go Outside State

That's the latest tactic from the Lindesmith Center Drug Policy
Foundation, the group that is behind Gov. Gary Johnson's push to ease
drug laws in New Mexico.

You might have noticed the ad if you took in a movie over the weekend
at the Century Rio 24 in Albuquerque, where the Lindesmith Center
bought ad space.

The "Stop the War on Drugs" sign in the ad is a teaser for next week's
drug policies conference being put on by the Lindesmith Center.

The conferences is being held in Albuquerque, of course. And the
headliner, of course, is Johnson.

The conference is scheduled for May 30-June 2 at the Hyatt Regency and
the Albuquerque Convention Center. Other speakers include: former Gov.
Toney Anaya, Albuquerque Mayor Jim Baca and Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky
Anderson.
