'COMPLETED JEW' COMMENT DRAWS FIRE

Jewish and civil liberties groups, campaigning against President Bush's
"faith-based initiative," are pouncing on a Bush supporter's use of the
term "completed Jew" to refer to someone who has converted to Christianity.

They say the comment from the executive director of Teen Challenge, a
Christian drug-treatment program, is evidence that the Bush plan to open
government programs to religious groups will amount to taxpayer-funded
conversion. Its executive director, John Castellani, made the remark
Wednesday in a House Government Reform subcommittee hearing.
