DRUG USE EXACTS A TERRIBLE PRICE

Dear Editor:

This may not mean so much to you but I lost my brother to drugs on May 17.

If kids and yes, adults, would read the paper and see what kind of things
the people are doing to these drugs to make them attractive maybe they
would think twice before taking them.

The police have to find better ways of getting to these pushers and the
judicial system must really get tough. Whoever sold this drug or gave it to
my brother is guilty of murder.

It was like giving him a loaded gun and telling him to pull the trigger. So
I hope they catch the person who did this.

Who knows? Maybe this will save someone's parents the anguish of having to
bury a loved one of theirs.

If I could turn back the hands of time and change the things that were said
and done,

Dearest brother of mine, you know I would

If I could trade places or have walked in your shoes

Oh brother of mine, you know I would.

But seeing as you are where you are and I am here

I will count the hours and days

Until we are together again.

I will always miss your smile and the way you talked,

And to think that all you really wanted on this earth was a kind word and a
thank you.

And even though it's a little late,

Thank you Jack, for being my brother,

And for the little things that you did each day

To make the day so much brighter.
