POT AN EMOTIONAL ISSUE
To the editor:
In response to Lee Rogers' attack ("Pot promoters act like spoiled
children," Capital News May 11)on your excellent article ("Wanted: All out
of joint," May 6).
Oh grow up! This is a favourite emotional argument for kids age 13 who are
learning to imitate their parents. It is quite effective usually starting a
fight which echoes poorly the perceptions children have of what it means to
be a responsible "free" adult living and working in the community.
Unfortunately some adults never get beyond this emotional argument, and
never fully understand what it means to grow up, think about things and
pursue personal happiness and social liberty.
Lee Rogers, unfortunately, can muster only this emotional argument to
protect herself from the sneaking suspicion that maybe she never did.
