THE TIDE IS TURNING

To the editor:

It's wonderful to know that there are many right-wing, law- and-order
zealots like Roy Clancy out there. In his May 30 column he spoke of
marijuana decriminalization and how it is a waste of time, because
marijuana offenders are rarely prosecuted anyway. Well I'm sure people
doing hard time in prison amongst violent predators and sociopaths,
for simple marijuana possession, would tend to disagree. Smoking
marijuana in moderation for recreational purposes should not be a crime.
