YES TO HITTING DRUG DEALERS HARD

Thank God the drug problem has finally been put on the national agenda
after being ignored by previous governments.

I applaud this government for paying close attention to this matter. I
offer my encouragement and strong support to those who are trying to
protect our future by taking strong action against drug producers and
pushers.

Simple economics tells us that if these pushers succeed in their
business, current and future generations will have to pay a high
price. For example, income will be diverted to buying drugs, not food
or education.

Public money will be wasted on trying to undo the negative impacts of
addiction. If pushers get caught, we still have to pay the high price
for keeping them alive in jail.

Hence, in the national interest and to protect the majority of
innocent citizens from being taken advantage of, strong, decisive and
sweeping actions are justified. Society at large owes no mercy to
these people as our national security is threatened by their
irresponsible actions.
