DRUG LEGALIZATION WOULDN'T HAVE SAVED BROTHER

First of all, thank you to the two gentlemen who wrote to the editor of the
Guelph Mercury commenting on the death of my brother.

The real story behind his death was that he had a way of getting doctors to
give him prescription pills.

I wrote many a letter to clinics asking them not to give him pills but he
still managed to get them. At the time when he was using a lot of
prescription pills my mother was still living and she couldn't take any
more. She got very ill and gave up. She passed away in Feb. of this year.

He moved out of the house and everyone thought he was doing ok until he
started going to clinics again and started getting more pills.

The poem I wrote to him was from my heart. I am neither for or against the
legalization of drugs. If they are made legal people will still overdose
and die from them. Society must be a horrible place to live in if we must
depend on drugs to survive.

It's the kids of today that I feel sorry for because we as adults have made
the world a living hell for them. I would not want to be a young person
growing up today.

My brother could con pills out of any doctor going.
