MORE DANGER IN TOBACCO

The fact is, Colin Flaherty has his "facts" about marijuana completely
wrong in his June 14 opinion, "Leno's marijuana jokes are dangerous, not
funny." If the readers are interested in actual scientific facts about
marijuana, I suggest they check out the Web site
www.drugwarfacts.org/marijuan.htm.

Another good source is the book "Marijuana Myths, Marijuana Facts: A Review
of the Scientific Evidence," by Lynn Zimmer and John P. Morgan.

It is ironic that Flaherty would cite the television show "Dragnet" for his
diatribes against marijuana, because the actor who played Joe Friday, Jack
Webb, died of lung cancer as a result of his two- packs-a-day tobacco
habit. It looks like Flaherty is a little mixed up as to which product is
dangerous and addictive. What has Flaherty been smoking?
