LOCKED UP
With the appointment of Drug Czar John P. Walters, we are in serious
trouble. This man is planning on making penalties for drug violations
even stricter and calls it an "urban myth" that blacks are more
likely to be convicted of drug crimes than other races are. In fact,
65 percent of drugs are used by Caucasians, yet blacks are doing 75
percent of the time.
In a society where it is easier for a person under age 21 to buy
illegal drugs than it is to purchase alcohol, we have a serious
problem that needs to be looked at very closely. This situation is in
need of fixing. Hopefully, it is not beyond repair.
