Here's A Real High: Hug A Child

According to columnist Maureen Dowd (June 11), a significant number of
women ... have resolved themselves to handling normal day-to-day stress and
ultimately life in general with mood-enhancing drugs. I am a die-hard
advocate for a drug-free society. I believe that if our divine maker had
intended for us to poison our bodies with self-induced chemical substances,
He would have put them there during our initial conception. ... And let's
not forget the nationwide campaign, "Dare to Keep Kids Off Drugs." What
message are adults truly sending these children when they themselves cannot
practice what they preach? I suggest that whenever "can't cope-itis" kicks
in, these drug-enhanced women should instead take a walk, pet a dog, or hug
a child.
