DRUG AGENCY DYES PLANTS TO DETER USERS
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control is
warning people to stay away from "red dope."
The agency is spraying wild-growing marijuana plants with a red-dyed
herbicide. The red dye is used to warn people not to pick and smoke
the poisoned plants, said Mark Woodward, bureau spokesman.
Agents have sprayed plants in Alfalfa, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Harper,
Pawnee, Payne, Woods and Woodward countries.
