BURNING MAN

Guy W. Farmer, the semi-retired journalist and former U.S. diplomat,
wrote: "Kristina Malsberger, a former senior editor for the California
State Automobile Association magazine, "Via," has written an article
about the annual Burning Man event without mentioning drugs. That's like
writing a Bill Clinton biography without mentioning Monica Lewinsky."

Farmer then admonishes Nevada politicians "to summon the courage to send
Burning Man back to the Bay Area, where it belongs."

It never fails to amaze me how prohibitionists see drugs everywhere.
They bellow out for a ban on Raves. They want all students' bodily
fluids tested (yours and mine presumably will be next). Now Mr. Farmer
wants the "Burning Man" gathering banned.

Mr. Farmer, can't you just leave people alone? Is your life so dreadful
that the thought of others having fun sets you off on your missionary
zeal? As for Bill Clinton, just like with Burning Man, you only see what
you want to see. All the rest is blanked out. Have you checked your
portfolio lately? Many would just assume your hero, George W., never
stole the election.
