CROWDED JAIL ISSUE WON'T GO AWAY
At a recent meeting, a group of judges and prosecutors
scanned a list of Vanderburgh County Jail inmates, searching for
someone who could be released early to keep the population down. Two
fit the criteria and were let go, Prosecutor Stan Levco said. One of
them committed a burglary within 48 hours. Levco said that indicates
there are not a lot of people in jail who should be out.
