GREEN LIKE DOLLARS
When the medical marijuana program was started I don't think they
intended groups or individuals to profit from it. But that's what is
happening.
It's ridiculous for a group to come to town and charge $50 a person to
give a talk on how to grow medical marijuana. There are also other
organizations wanting money from patients. I just got mailed a paper
on a medical marijuana information fair sponsored by Oregon Medical
Marijuana Network Inc. - it only costs $25.00 to attend - and then
there's patients who charge other patients for cuttings or seeds,
which is illegal.
The state based its $150 fee for a card on 500 patients. There's now
over 2,000 people on the program, but the state hasn't lowered the
fees. They are making money off this program too.
I believe in karma and what goes around comes around. The true colors
of these organizations and people are showing. The color is green,
like dollars.
I hope some of these people mentioned see this and it causes them to
think a little bit about what's going on. Hey, maybe the state will
get involved; that's just what all these groups need.
