WAGE WAR FOR GOD
To the Editor:
Jesus said, "I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. I have come to
turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a man's
enemies will be the members of his own household."
God warns of a form of godliness but the denial of its power, as the
records of his kingdom since the creation of the world reveal miraculous
power over and over combined with violent bloodshed and healing.
Isaiah prophesied of yesterday and today revealing the abhorrence of people
who claimed to follow God, he said, "These people come near to me with
their lips and honor me with their mouths but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. Therefore once
more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder, the wisdom of the
wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish." (Jesus
reiterated these words to the religious leaders of his day as I do today.)
Where now is Timothy McVeigh? Why all the fear with his execution? Did he
repent and cry out for mercy? Did he apologize for deaths of innocent
people? Did he mourn after the reality of his actions sent him to his own
death?
The fear of God is obedience to our nation's laws that accompany our
hearts' convictions of what is right and what is wrong. Rejoice, America,
that this cowardly villain has been removed. Justice by the hands of men
empowered by the conviction of God's holy spirit has been served, and I
love God with all my heart and sympathize with all the families who
continue to suffer at the whimper of evil men.
The death penalty. What about our children? The prey of drug dealers to
line their pockets with money. Our laws are weak. Our conviction of love
should serve to protect. Where is the death penalty for drug dealers? It is
being served right throughout our nation by the people buying them who need
the help of the brave and strong.
God is the god of justice. This is the United States of America, the
greatest nation in the world. Let McVeigh's death be a clear trumpet
sounding victory. The beginning of the end of tolerance to disobedience to
the loving of our neighbors as ourselves.
God is king over the earth. His will will be done, for the spirit of our
forefathers remains today and shouts from the graves of valiant soldiers
whose blood was shed that we might stand and sing under our flag in: peace,
joy, and the power of love worshipping the one and only true god who leads
us on to conquer in the might of his glorious strength. The Lord is a warrior.
