ECSTASY DATABASE

The New Jersey division of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration is
compiling a statewide database to track trafficking in the club drug
Ecstasy, the first of its kind in the nation. The database, to be used to
coordinate local enforcement efforts, may include biographical and vehicle
information. Drug officials say that New Jersey does not have a
particularly bad Ecstasy problem, though the age of first use has been
dropping, but say that the database is a proactive measure.
