PATIENT NEEDS

CONGRATULATIONS TO Councilman Ignacio De La Fuente for getting his name
published in the Trib. It's too bad that he doesn't have any idea what
he's yapping about. Any doctor or patient would tell him the needs of
the patient for any drug, palliative or curative varies greatly.

The councilman's tactic is merely that of attempting to restrict the
supply of marijuana. Perhaps he thinks that that will reduce the number
of abusers -- now that's an idea that has been discredited for 80 years
or more. Or, more likely, maybe he just wants to draw attention.
