MEDICAL EXAMINER WELCOMES HELP
I have just finished the special report in the July 8 News-Leader.
Laura Bauer Menner has, for several years, impressed me with her writing
and has always been factual, accurate, and complete in her reports
regarding my office.
This group of articles on methamphetamine, however, just blows me away.
It is so thorough, complete and informative that I learned much from it,
and I frequently testify about meth-related deaths as an expert witness
in our courts.
I will keep this article in my files and will refer to it often.
May I suggest that Laura's work be shared with other Gannett newspapers.
It would be great if it could be condensed into a booklet to be
distributed to law enforcement officers, doctors, attorneys, schools,
etc., so that they could be informed about this drug and its effects.
I have seen Pulitzer awards given to journalists for much less worthy
endeavors.

Greene County medical examiner
