1 IN 4 SUSPICIOUS DRIVERS 'ON DRUGS'
ONE in four motorists stopped in a national crackdown were probably driving
under the influence of drugs, police have revealed.
Twenty drivers who had been driving in a suspicious fashion were asked to
take new tests - which check their physical co-ordination - a week ago, and
five failed.
Colin McKerracher, assistant chief constable of Strathclyde Police, said:
"I would encourage members of the public not to drive whilst under the
influence of any drug." All 8 Scottish forces participated in the initiative.
