TEACH YOUR CHILDREN

Have you thought about how our children are being prepped for slaughter? It
sounds harsh and cruel, but it appears to have validity.

Maybe some parents cannot believe that their children are experimenting
with drugs and sex. Whatever the reason, something is really wrong with the
present-day picture of a generation of children who ought to have promising
futures.

We are witnessing the destruction of our children, mind and spirit. These
children create bombs, buy and use guns, kill as never before. They
disregard the value of education but are great consumers of our poorly
modeled behavior.

Their future, which should be promising, holds addiction and illiteracy. In
the land of opportunity, they are being imprisoned at an alarming rate.
They fear death as never before. We participate in and enjoy the age of
knowledge, but we see children tormented with parents who don't know how to
protect, uplift and teach.

Parents, their future lies in your hands. You are not alone! Seek advice or
help, read up on parenting skills. Everything your parents demonstrated
about child-rearing doesn't work today. Create a new paradigm that does work.

Do not make excuses for them, but show them a better way. You are the
primary teacher. You can no longer send them off to school and expect a
curriculum to teach them character ("Biblical tenets hot topic once again,"
July 10). Learn how to prepare them with wisdom and success will follow.
