DRUG LAWS SHOULD BE ENFORCED PROPERLY
Sir, -- Tory MP Michael Portillo and his ilk may have experimented with,
and now support the use of, the drug cannabis in a world with a vast,
money-making drug culture, but I believe that a vast number of fair-minded
people would prefer our police to take action against any person of any
nationality caught breaking our present laws, be they rich or poor.
These laws were made to protect us and must be enforced, despite what some
may think, until they are changed. Many, in fact, need strengthening and
not ignoring.
