Dear Follow Reformer:
As much as we desire to maintain core services and expand programs, I must
tell you that we face serious financial straits, in part because our
initial funders are now pressing us to become more membership supported.
So I must get out my beggar's cup and ask whether you would help support
our organization with a contribution within your means, be it five dollars,
fifty dollars, five hundred dollars or whatever.
Together we have built DrugSense and MAP into one of the world's largest
drug policy reform websites and we have generated 6,700 published letters
to editors over the course of the past few years.
To bring all this about, a handful of us devote some sixty or seventy hours
a week with tiny remuneration, and scores of our supporters have labored on
a purely volunteer basis.
We are proud of our other current services, among them: The Drug News
archive of more than 61,000 news clippings, support for scores of other
reform organizations and a weekly newsletter informing thousands of readers
of current developments in drug policy.
We also have plans to expand our services in the near future, provided we
can keep our heads above water.
We can not sell subscriptions or advertising, so we must rely upon you, our
beneficiaries, to send us what you feel this service is worth to you and
what will fit into your budget.
Due to a "Matching Funds Grant" by Mr. Ron Bennett, any amount you are able
to contribute up to $250 will be matched, thus effectively doubling your
contribution to DrugSense and MAP.
Contributing is easy. You can charge your contribution at:
http://www.drugsense.org/donate.htm
If you prefer to donate via check, please mail your checks payable to
DrugSense or MAP Inc. PO Box 651, Porterville, CA 93258.
Please assist us now and on a regular basis. We have the vehicle to bring
about reform. Your contribution will help provide the fuel.
Thank you for joining us in the battle to bring about better drug policies
and justice.
