REGARDING YOUR story "Legal paths to pot" (Aug. 1) which described
legal access to cannabis for federal exemptees. The RCMP said
exemptees attempting to buy street pot would have a problem. The
federal supply in Flin Flon, Man., is not ready. It is illegal for
exemptees or their designated growers to purchase or otherwise obtain
seeds or cuttings.
Where are these medically challenged, federally approved patients to
obtain legal access to their medicine? Nowhere.
All of the hullabaloo about the new regulations is only smoke and
mirrors. At the end of the day, nothing has opened up. Pathetic.
