NOBODY IS IMMUNE

TO THE EDITOR:

Thanks to The Oklahoman for the many informative articles concerning
substance abuse. You can't print it often enough or say it loud enough.
We'll never solve the problem of crime in the streets, welfare costs or
health care costs until we solve the problem of substance abuse.

More importantly is the cost in human misery. I don't know what the answer
is, but I do know that in most cases (though not all) putting an abuser in
prison is not a solution. For the preservation of our way of life as a
united people, we must find the answer. Addiction knows no class, race,
religious or party affiliation. Not one of us is immune.
