LEAVE DRUGS ALONE
Letter to the Editor
In his Aug. 7 column, Brian Kappler says, "Marijuana figures in half of
Canadian drug arrests; if it were legal, police could concentrate on truly
dangerous drugs." How is that possible when the most dangerous drugs are
legal? Is Mr. Kappler secretly in favour of banning alcohol and tobacco?
Let's be sensible here. Why should the police concentrate on any drug?
Let's just leave the drug users alone and have our police focus on real
crime, for a change.
