NO CHOICE
I'm writing in response to Terry McIntyre's Aug. 5 letter regarding
the needle exchange program ("Clean needles").
I've suffered from juvenile diabetes since the age of 8, and I'm
outraged with this program. I must pay $24.95 for a box of syringes.
I rely on these needles daily to administer the many doses of insulin
that I need to live. People who choose to do drugs, whom I think are
low-life scum, get them for free!
This country is pathetic to give needles to those who have nothing
better to do than shoot up. I didn't have a choice when I was
diagnosed with diabetes. I guess someone twisted the junkies' arms
when they decided to do drugs.
Everyone has choices in life. If you choose drugs, you face the
consequences. If you want to screw your life up, go ahead.
