FEDS BUST CITY NARC ON POT RAP
August 12, 2001 -- A veteran Queens narcotics detective has been busted on
federal drug charges, The Post has learned.
Detective Winston White, 33, of the Southeast Queens Initiative, was
apprehended at around 3 p.m. and placed into federal custody on charges he
possessed and distributed marijuana, sources said.
White is a nine-year NYPD veteran.
Details of the arrest were not immediately available, but a police
spokesman confirmed White was suspended.
Calls to the DEA were not returned.
