WAR IS HELL

One reason the wretched "war on drugs" keeps going on is that people have
trouble taking an honest look at any situation involving their acquiescence
in evil, no matter how obvious. The WOD has criminalized millions, torn up
their families, seized their property without due process. Many people have
been shot dead in their homes by police and gangs. These have mostly been
harmless people who just wanted to be left alone to their peace and
pleasures, maybe kids that you knew, maybe your own.

Impeaching those five Supreme Court justices might help, but just "taking
back" control of both houses of congress by the Democrats won't. One of
former Vice President Gore's big brags on his own White House web site was
about how he and Clinton had escalated the "war on drugs."

Yes, "the war," and how true: with government, police and the "justice"
system seeming ever more like the apparatus of an army of occupation. I
sure hope to be around when it's finally over. I want to see the class
action law suit, official apologies, horrendous settlements, squirming,
pictures in the paper of the perpetrators. I want to see local "Vichy"
ex-officials try to change the subject in conversation.

"What did you do in the war, Daddy?" How will you answer?
