SICK MAN WHO GREW MARIJUANA HAS DIED
The Roanoke Rapids man who called 911 to report that someone had stolen his
marijuana plants has died, and his family said he suffered when he could no
longer use the marijuana.
Emmit Scott, 61, died yesterday at Halifax Regional Medical Center of
natural causes.
Scott was arrested July 27 and charged with two felonies related to his
possession of a controlled substance. He told police he didn't know it was
illegal to grow marijuana for personal use.
