NO RIGHTS?
I agree with Stacy Peckham's Aug. 24 letter, "Pandering," regarding random
drug testing in public schools.
Under the guise of safety we are allowing our children to be treated in
ways we as adults would never accept.
Would you allow someone to search your home without a search warrant?
Well, without probable cause, we randomly search children entering school.
We have put them in mandatory uniforms and punish them by suspending or
expelling them for actions that a few years ago would have only warranted a
detention or reprimand.
I believe there is an agenda in this country to raise generations of
children to believe they have no rights.
